Because we love to eat….

It was a saturday, Amaks (cousin) was in Lagos, Stephie Coco slept over….

I woke up hungry (as usual) and called Amaks to know what the plan for the day was but she had a wedding to attend so we decided to meet up later in the evening….

Time to go feed my hungry stomach with Stephie Coco and the brother…..

He had more fun not eating though *rolling eyes*

There was so much joy in my heart when I saw these trays *biggest grin* and ofcourse, the content did not dissapoint….perfect for every breakfast lover! I sometimes dream of having a restaurant with a breakfast-only-menu and this right here gave me so much inspiration….pancakes, eggs two ways (omelette, scrambled), egg-in-a-hole toasts (I love that the cut-outs from the bread slices are also toasted and thrown in), sausages, potato crisps, crispy chicken bites with amazing dips (These people customize everything but basically maple syrup, ketchupy sauce and a potato mash thing I seem to be in love with)….LOVE! I am not sure if it’s because we eat too much or that food wasn’t a lot but we wanted more!

The mother came to get the brother when we were done so Stephie Coco and I could go about our business, we had to meet up with another friend on guess what street….Etim Inyang, same street as *DrumRoll* Chocolat Royal…ofcourse we stopped over on our way out

I picked the lollipop just because I didn’t want to rack my brain for flavors but I was wowed by the effect it had on me….From the crackling of the shell (outerpart) to the burst of velvety deliciousness in my tongue and the mix of both with what seemed like a melt/soft chew situation….Amazing Experience! 

Stephie Coco had the other….her love for chocolate anything had me unbothered to ask if she liked it…I know she loved it. I had a bite of the macaron….Love! I’ve got a weakness for Chocolat Royal macarons, gift me this and we become best friends!

We went back home and spent about an hour if not more getting ready for our next adventure with Amaks (Stephie Coco’s facebeat was the problem, I spent just a minute *guilty giggles*)! We planned to meet up for just drinks but as I type this, I can’t even remember what drink I had because I ended up sharing a bowl of incredible macaroni and cheese with Amaks….my favorite eat of the day!

Can you see those red dots? Red peppers! And the fact that they were roasted made all the difference….such subtle smokiness with every bite. I was talking to Olu earlier today and he described proteins as the reward of a meal….that’s how best I can explain the grilled chicken. I was so about to order another round of this but…fitfam wannabe!

 Honestly, I was too busy loving the mac and cheese, I didn’t pay attention to this meal but Stephie Coco swears it was good! Then I had the most interesting conversation with Chudi over loud music (well worth the struggle) and two cocktails *still thinking about the names* One must have been a daiquiri though, I always have a daiquiri….

Just beside Hard Rock Cafe is a hidden treasure….

Landmark Hotel (Amara Suites), Landmark Towers

I discovered this hotel a while back while working (there are serviced offices on one floor of the building) and I ended up spending a night here another time….Double Love! I spend a lot of time gazing into the ocean, brings me an unexplainable sense of calmness and the view from this room brought me just that.
Guess whatelse this building houses? Spur! And they deliver to the hotel rooms…. amazing, I know! I sat back with my combo breakfast, DSTV remote in hand (Yes, you have your own decoder with premium channels) and I had the best morning….
