Almost every afternoon I open my Instagram feed, Bread Lounge posts pop up so I decided to check them out during a quick work break. The sun was not smiling at all and luckily there was an Iced Tea machine staring at me as soon as I walked in. I happily asked for a lychee flavored one. They have other flavor options (mint, peach, raspberry). I was told they have a sitting area upstairs with a display of snacks and pastries…up the stairs I went…
‘Suya Bun’ caught my attention so I had to try it out. Sat down with my collection expecting greatness….a sip of my iced tea met that expectation….refreshing! I was hoping for a chunk of meat somewhere in my suya bun but there was none till the end of it. It was a bread bun dusted with something that reminds me of dambu nama (shredded beef in Hausa)….a little disappointing but not bad afterall.
Last week, I found myself wanting to escape from work so off I went with Stephie Coco. We went straight to the display section upstairs and fed our eyes. I Settled for a red velvet brownie then took my time to discuss their cold drink options with David (staff) and he recommended an Iced Latte. Once again I could pick a flavor so I went for raspberry….one word….perfect!
Watched the process….
The crunch on the top of the brownie was everything! Thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have this instead of the suya bun any time….
Stephie Coco had a white chocolate drink, sausage mania and pizza bun. I tried out the sausage mania….I have a thing for bread & sausages so this was beautiful for me….I considered buying myself one but gluttony…. Stephie Coco didn’t go crazy for her white chocolate drink at first because it wasn’t as sweet as she expected but after a few sips, she was in love….
