Bridal Shower Try-out

All week I was bothered about a location for my friend Amina’s bridal shower. Decided to go on a rant one night to another friend about this and he suggested The Home Hotel, Lekki.
I needed to see the space & try their food so I went there on a friday. The space met my expectations, all cozy and pretty with friendly staff.

Food try-out

I initially wanted to try out platters of finger food but I changed my mind at the last minute…practically all showers I attend go with finger food, why not proper food for a change? So I looked through the menu and ordered a classic chicken dish with two drinks…yes two drinks!

A fruit punch which I am definitely going back for some time soon and a strawberry daiquiri (my first unfrozen one ever and I was thoroughly pleased).

My food came about 15minutes later…..

Chicken casserole sauce; chicken breasts, vegetables and gravy alongside steamed white rice. The presentation made me realize this was what I was in search of…comfort food! Seemed like the perfect complement for our intimate shower. With the chicken tenderly cooked and the sauce packed with flavor, I had to take some home for dinner. Thanks to their large portions, I had more than enough for pasta later at night.

Definitely a contender for the shower…..
