Happy Easter Food Lovers! How are you celebrating? Please share your easter food loving moments with us (Details in contact page)….here’s mine….
I promised to take Ebube (my 4 year old brother) for a Paint & Bake session (Cafe Royale, Victoria Island, Lagos) yesterday as his Easter treat but while in Church with my mum, he was really naughty (making noise and leaving his seat) so it was decided by the mother that his punishment would be ‘no outing’. I pleaded on his behalf so her judgement was revised…he would follow us to Cafe Royale just for food but no paint & bake session…
We got there at about 12:30pm, it was a hot day so we sat inside. I sighted the prettiest fruit tart as soon as I walked into the room so I knew I wanted that even before the waiter handed me the menu.
Found an interesting drink on the menu…a frozen chocobanana mocha…watched as it was being made…
He was so fast, I couldn’t capture all the steps but…chocolate syrup in blender, banana syrup in, fresh banana and coffee powder in, milk next, ice cubes finally then blend blend…tasted like easter!
The Mother wanted a cheesecake so I suggested she order the lemon cheesecake so I could try it *chuckles* and she was thoroughly pleased by my choice…
She got a plain cappuccino with it…
Ebube got a waffle and hot chocolate but won’t let me take a picture…my mum and I decided to share a proper meal so we feel less guilty about our no fitfam moment (We call it Fat sharing)….The Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Marinated grilled chicken breasts in mustard and rosemary, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & dijon mustard served on soft warm baguette with a side of french fries and coleslaw
Oooo as soon as we ordered and got settled, Mr. Abayomi (Cafe Royale staff) handed Ebube an easter gift bag of color sheets and pencils *laughs at the mother*
The entire experience was so good, we left smiling ear to ear….
