Tex-Mex comes to Me! (Dante’s Burito Bowl)

It was a wednesday night….I was exhausted from work….Bbq & Cravings’ burger was hunting my memories….but fitfam….

I decided to feed my eyes on their Instagram page and then I saw that they had a new baby….burito bowl. Someone on my snapchat had recommended this a few days ago. My first reaction was….Naaa I just want a burger. Then it hit me….Burito bowl! If you read Blog post: No boring Salads please! then you know I have a thing for greens! The thought of yummy vegetables and meat got me all excited. 

I called with my heart in my mouth as it was quite late at night but thankfully it could be delivered….

I had these options to pick from….

I went for lamb and I wanted all of every other thing but an extra fee would be charged for cheese or bacon toppings. I had to consider my wallet as delivery doesn’t come with a POS machine and I only had the amount for the food with no toppings….the way I ransacked my bags for delivery fee *laughs* Yaaay me! I found….

After 30mins….

FRESHNESS…actually triple dose of freshness!

1. The cilantro lime rice was a huge breath of fresh air…extra light (long grain basmati), the flavors, aroma…love love!
2. Corn & tomato salsa freshness
3. Steamed vegetable freshness

Because I was craving meat so bad, I thought the lamb would be the star of the meal for me but no, the fresh goodies took all my attention but I made sure each spoon trip to my mouth had atleast a piece of lamb (perfectly cooked). Sadly the lamb got finished before it’s other colleagues….I knew I was going to order another of this the next day!

It was morning….I woke up with Dante’s burito bowl in my head….I made the call….

I got it plated so you see details. 

And I knew just who to introduce to this….Mr Eatclean Ak! So I took this to work to share with him (I am coming to shorten your ration when you order yours Ak). This time, I went for chicken and because I didn’t want my last spoons of rice without meat like the last time, I threw in a pack of spicy wings. Everything just worked….flavors, spice, greens….I was totally wowed again! Ak loved it too, I can’t count the number of ‘hmmms’ and ‘this is lovely’ I heard as he ate….

Before now the only tex-mex option I had could not be delivered, it required a 30mins drive & about another 20mins wait for the food plus the struggle to look for what to wear. No more! Dante’s burito bowl is just a phone call and 30mins wait away…..
